Lt. Col. Bryan J. Chivers, commander of 2-82 Aviation Regiment, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, salutes the paratroopers of the 2-82 Aviation Regiment one last time as its commander during the battalion change of command ceremony on Fort Bragg, N.C., June 04, 2015. Chivers handed over the command of the battalion to Lt. Col. Travis L. McIntosh. Chivers recently returned from Afghanistan, the battalion supported Operations Enduring Freedom and Freedom’s Sentinel, during their nine-month deployment. The battalion operated under the leadership of NATO Train, Advise, Assist Command – South, which is responsible for operations in the southern regions of Afghanistan. McIntosh will now transform the assault battalion to a highly maneuverable unit capable of deploying anywhere in the world for a wide variety of missions on very short notice.
