1st Lt. Serenity Nelson, with A. Co. 3rd Brigade Support Battalion, squares off against her opponent during her bout at "Fight Night for Heroes," the first ever mixed martial arts fights held in Iraq at Forward Operating Base Marez in Mosul, Iraq, Sept. 5. The event, sponsored by Xtreme Couture G.I. Foundation, featured mostly active duty military members with 17 fights on the card and over 1,000 service members and civilians in attendance.
