Reese, incoming commander of the 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, passes the unit colors to the battalion’s keeper of the unit colors and senior enlisted adviser, Command Sgt. Maj. Randy B. Gray, during a change of command ceremony Wednesday. Lt. Col. Timothy R Shaffer, after two years commanding the battalion relinquished his command to Reese in the traditional ceremony.
