First Lt. Michelle Su and Capt. Joseph Quenga gather data June 30 during the Simulation Experiment exercise held here at the Combined Arms Support Command's Simulation Battle Lab. The two were part of a team of roughly 50 Soldiers and civilians here who participated in the exercise June 22-July 1. The exercise included 700 exercise players nationwide. The purpose of SIMEX was to test simulated combat operations with a future force structure, future mission command concepts and future system capabilities in order to help shape the Army’s future force.
