(July 14, 2015) international students learn weapon maintenance as part of the International Small Arms Maintenance course at Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School (NAVSCIATTS). The course provides basic training required to repair and perform routine preventative maintenance on both foreign and U.S. small arms and crew served weapons systems. NAVSCIATTS is a Department of the Navy schoolhouse that operates under the United States Special Operations Command, which trains and educates Partner Nation Security Forces on a wide range of topics including small craft strategy, operations, communications, weapons, maintenance and instructor development.
