Soldiers of the 203rd Corps Afghan national army take part in beginner up-armored Humvee driver training in the first week of October. During the new International Security Assistance Force-directed three-week course, soldiers learn about vehicle characteristics, maintenance, driving safety and accident avoidance, basic driving techniques and how to survive a rollover. Upon successful completion of the course, soldiers are licensed by the Ministry of Defense and are qualified to drive.
