Daigle, from Cincinnati, Ohio, is recognized for his service during the Battle of Tarawa at a ceremony held for Mr. Mark Noah, pilot, founder and executive director of History Flight, who received the title of Honorary Marine, National Museum of the Marine Corps, Triangle, Va., July 24, 2015. Noah's organization, History Flight, has repatriated the remains of several hundred Marines and Sailors deemed unrecoverable that were killed in action during the Battle of Tarawa.
