A mass re-enlistment ceremony was hosted by Maj. Gen. Curtis M. Scaparrotti, commander of Combined Joint Task Force- 82 and the 82nd Airborne Division, Oct. 5. He administered the oath of re-enlistment to over 100 U.S. Soldier from Regional Command- East. "On behalf of the nation, I thank you for being in the one percent of Americans who serve because they know that freedom is not free, it has to be seized and defended," said Scaparrotti. "I do not take that lightly, therefore one of the most import things I do is re-enlist Soldiers into our armed forces, to assist in the continued protection of our nation."
