The honorees of the Transportation Corps Distinguished Members of the Regiment Ceremony team up Friday for a cake cutting in the commander's conference room at Wylie Hall. Eleven former members of the corps were recognized at the event as well as eight individuals who recently won Officer/Warrant Officer/Noncommissioned Officer/Soldier or Civilian of the Year titles. Not all of those latter award recipients were able to attend the ceremony. The formalities were part of the Transportation Corps' 73rd birthday celebration, which also included a Hall of Fame ceremony at Joint Base Langley-Eustis on July 30, and a regimental run at Fort Lee and evening ball in Richmond on July 31.
