150812-N-FO981-241 SAN DIEGO (Aug. 12, 2015) Sailors assigned to both the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) and the guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) conduct search and rescue training operations. America is undergoing a post-shakedown availability (PSA) in which the ship's crew and assigned contractors make improvements to the ship's design.
