150903-N-GZ228-014 PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 3, 2015) Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Mechanical) 3rd Class Brent Anderson (left), Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Electrical) 3rd Class Jordan Acosta (center) and Chief Hull Technician James Fitzgerald, attached to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5, clean the engine tunnel of a Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) in the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4). Boxer is currently underway off the coast of Southern California participating in Dawn Blitz 2015 (DB-15). DB-15 is a multinational training exercise being conducted by Expeditionary Strike Group 3 (ESG-3) and 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade (1st MEB) to build U.S., Japan, Mexico and New Zealand’s amphibious, and command and control capabilities through live, simulated, and constructive military training activities.
