Deputy Commandant for Marine Corps Aviation, Lt. Gen. Jon M. Davis, lectures Weapons and Tactics Instructor's Course class 1-16 on the importance of tactical risk management at Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron 1’s Memorial Hall aboard Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015. Being a former MAWTS-1 instructor himself, Davis drew upon his extensive service history and aviation knowledge to emphasize safety and mishap prevention while still encouraging tactical aggressiveness and combat prowess. “Make your decisions every day like it’s your last day on active duty,” said Davis. “The United States Marine Corps needs you in this fight.”
