Sgt. Maj. John Edwards, operations sergeant major, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, passes the brigade colors to outgoing Command Sgt. Maj. Joseph C. Cornelison, as part of a change of responsibility ceremony Sept. 3 at Cooper Field. Cornelison relinquished responsibility of the brigade to Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Coffey during the ceremony. Cornelison, who assumed responsibility of the 1st ABCT, 1st Cavalry Division, April 7, 2014, is slated to assume responsibility of the 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas, later this year. Coffey previously served as the senior enlisted leader for the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment (Air Assault), 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
