Wasp command citizenship representative 1st Class Mathias Aigbomian, Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling), explains the military naturalization process to Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Amie Gonzales during an interview. With recent changes to the Immigration and Nationality Act, many servicemembers are pursuing the path to U.S. citizenship. Wasp is currently deployed on Southern Partnership Station-Amphib with Destroyer Squadron 40 and a Security Cooperation Marine Air Ground Task Force embarked. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
