The coalition task force in the Northern Arabian Gulf, CTF 158, received a report of a fire on one of Iraq's two oil terminals, the Khawr Al Amaya Oil Terminal (KAAOT), at 8:52 a.m. local time on Friday, May 26. Initial reports indicate that the fire was caused by contract work being performed on the terminal's pumping system. U.S. and coalition forces will provide whatever support is required to the Iraqis.
