Primary school teachers in Kenya are being helped to improve the quality of their instruction through radio correspondence courses. These courses are presented by the University of Nairobi Correspondence Course Unit, assisted by a team from the University of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin team is financed by the Agency for International Development as part of the United States program of assistance to Kenya. Course taught include biology, mathematics, English, geography, history, Kiswahili and physical sciences. Teachers who complete the courses are eligible to take the government examinations for promotion. Carl Vanderlin (R) and Jerry Parson (L).
