Darwin Legette Ingram, president of Ingram Oil Company and a prominent businessman in Clovis, N.M. served as an active member of the Committee of Fifty, an organization created to develop a strong bond between the local community and Cannon Air Force Base, N.M. Ingram dedicated much of his time to maximizing the quality of life for Cannon Airmen and worked to secure the additional land needed to expand nearby Melrose Air Force Range, N.M.
