An F/A-18E Super Hornet from the Royal Maces of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 27 lands aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). The arrested landing completed 100,000 mishap free flight hours. George Washington, the Navy's only permanently forward deployed aircraft carrier, is participating in Annual Exercise, a yearly bilateral exercise with the U.S. Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
