151013-N-VC236-013 RED SEA (Oct. 13, 2015) - Ensign Gary Feldman, from Ellington, Conn., and Sonar Technician (surface) 2nd Class Troy Short, from Fredonia, Kan., stand lookout on the starboard bridge wing as the guided-missile destroyer USS Farragut (DDG 99) conducts a northbound transit of the Suez Canal. Farragut is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations as part of Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
