Joseph Tofalo, commander of U.S. Submarine Forces, center, presents the Battenberg Cup to command leadership of the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Alaska (SSBN 732) during a ceremony at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. The Battenberg Cup symbolizes the operational excellence of one ship or submarine in the fleet annually. Alaska was the first SSBN to ever win the award.
