Petty Officer 2nd Class Jonathan Armstrong waits for his wife Aida to arrive for their scheduled "Holiday VTC" session, Nov. 19, aboard USS Wasp. The Holiday VTC program uses video teleconferencing technology to allow Sailors aboard Wasp to talk privately and face-to-face with their loved ones in Norfolk, Va., for 15 minutes at a time. Wasp is currently deployed on Southern Partnership Station-Amphib with Destroyer Squadron 40 and a Security Cooperation Marine Air-Ground Task Force embarked. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
