The command and retirees from 4th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, symbolically cut the ribbon on the battalion headquarters building, Oct. 7, on Fort Hood, Texas during a dedication ceremony. The name “Metcalf Hall” is derivative of Lt. Richard Metcalf who was a section leader in Battery C, 5th United States Artillery and led an assault on a fortified trench at the Battle of Spotsylvania during the Civil War.
