Among the ruins near the ziggurat of Ur, located near the modern city of Nasiriyah, Iraq, archeologists found a house inscribed with the name 'Abraham.' In the early 1990s, Pope John Paul II expressed a desire to visit the house, leading to Saddam Hussein's decision to rebuild the ruin upon its original foundation. The Pope never made the journey due to security concerns.
