Coast Guard Capt. Benes Aldana, Staff Judge Advocate for Coast Guard District Eight, was awarded the Daniel K. Inouye Trailblazer Award by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Nov. 6, 2015. Aldana is responsible for providing legal counsel to the district commander and oversees the legal support to Coast Guard operations across 26 states and the Outer Continental Shelf of the Gulf of Mexico.
