Petty Officer 3rd Class David Manders, machinery repariman, uses a "fly cutter" to level out a base for the milling machine in USS Wasp's Machine Repair shop. Manders and his fellow MR shop workers are in charge of repairing vital parts of the ship when they need to be fixed. Wasp is currently deployed on Southern Partnership Station-Amphib with Destroyer Squadron 40 and embarked SCMAGTF. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
