Maj. Gen. W. Lee Miller, commanding general of II Marine Expeditionary Force, recognizes Marines with 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion for their distinguished performance in preparation for contingency response operations, Nov. 18, 2015, at Camp Lejeune, N.C. The Marines earned recognition for their ability to execute heavy equipment support missions and for their overall readiness to support II MEF operations. II MEF forces support the U.S. Geographic Combatant Commands with scalable Marine Air Ground Task Force support and execute missions across the range of military operations, which ranges from theater security cooperation with international partners to corps-level operations in support of contingency response.
