151205-N-CJ186-640 NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BAHRAIN (Dec. 5, 2015) Chief Mineman Shane Stone, assigned to the Avenger-class mine countermeasure ship USS Sentry (MCM 3), gives a tour of the ship’s fantail during a tour for Boy Scouts of America Troops 221 and 826, based out of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain. The troops took part in the tour as a step to earn their Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge, in which they visit two U.S. government facilities to earn the merit. USS Sentry is currently assigned to Commander, Task Group 52.2, which conducts mine countermeasures, explosive ordnance disposal and force protection operations throughout the U.S. 5th fleet area of operations.
