Marines from 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion place concertina wire around their newly constructed observation post in Helmand province, Afghanistan, Dec. 18. A total of two observation posts were constructed as a part of their mission. The OPs were placed in specific areas where Marines have encountered many roadside bombs, to prevent insurgents from placing more IEDs.
