New recruits of Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, rush through a doorway during receiving at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Jan. 19. Recruits must move with speed and intensity at all times throughout the course of training. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate April 15.
