Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton pauses to stare at the names of Sailors lost from the USS Arizona during the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor. Clinton attended a wreath ceremony at the USS Arizona Memorial Jan. 12 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is conducting a trip through the western Pacific to strengthen ties with our partner nations, which will involve stops in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea and Hawaii was her first stop where she met with Japanese Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada to discuss the movement of Marine Corps Futenma Air Base, the expansion of the Japan - U.S. security alliance, the war in Afghanistan and the nuclear programs in North Korea.
