Captain Gilbert C. Garlit, series commander, and a senior drill instructor of India Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, watches a recruit perform the drill movement, inspection arms, during a series commander inspection at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 8. After performing inspection arms, recruits introduced themselves with a report that included name, military occupational specialty and hometown. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. India Company is scheduled to graduate March 11.
