Staff Sgt. Kevin L. Brown (sitting), a sergeant of the guard from Hernando, Miss., and Sgt. Russell R. Rippy, an assistant sergeant of the guard from Nashville, Tenn., monitor the video output of surveillance cameras during entry control point operations at Contingency Operating Location Q-West, Jan. 10. Both serve with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 198th Combined Arms, 155th Brigade Combat Team, a mechanized infantry unit out of Hernando, Miss., that provides force protection to Q-West. This day marked the unit's sixth month of ECP operations. There have been no security breaches during their tenure.
