Recruits of Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, execute unarmed manipulations on their opponents during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program session at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 18. Recruits learned the moves step-by-step before trying the techniques on their partners. One of the purposes of MCMAP is to teach the recruits how to defeat the enemy using hand-to-hand combat. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Golf Company is scheduled to graduate April 29.
