U.S. Army Sgt. Dustin Whitehurst, a North Carolina National Guard Soldier deployed to Kosovo with Alpha Company, 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 252nd Armor Regiment, conducts a security observation after being air lifted via UH-60 Black Hawk during a platoon tactical training exercise, Feb. 10, 2016, north of Mitrovica, Kosovo. The exercise was held to evaluate the Soldiers’ troop-leading skills in a platoon raid operation. The Soldiers, who have been deployed to Kosovo since June 2015, use events like this to practice basic Army Warrior Tasks that all Soldiers are required to understand. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Erick Yates, Multinational Battle Group-East)
