160301-N-ZA585-010 SOUTH CHINA SEA (March 1, 2016) - Damage Controlman 1st Class Daniel Peters, from Reno, Nev., gives hose handling training to Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Equipment) 3rd Class Brandon Katz, from North Ridge, Calif., on USS John C. Stennis’ (CVN 74) fantail during damage control (DC) rodeo. DC rodeo is a four-hour long event training Sailors in various aspects of damage control. Providing a ready force supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific, Stennis is operating as part of the Great Green Fleet on a regularly scheduled 7th Fleet deployment.
