160308-N-YO638-025 YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 8, 2016) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 1st Class Katrina Vong, from Seattle, Wash., poses for a photograph aboard the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Vong, Reagan's Sailor of the Year for 2015, said one of the things she admired about Nancy Reagan was her unwavering support of both her husband and country. "Nancy Reagan is the mother of our ship, and if you think of a mother's essence, she's someone who supports her children and her husband. That's kind of what her legacy was; she was the number one supporter of our late president. Whenever I see photos of Ronald Reagan, she was always either around him or right by his side in the biggest events of his life. She was always there. I think the Reagan supports our country in the same way she supported her husband." (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Cody Hendrix/Released)
