A M1133 Stryker, Medical Evacuation Vehicle of the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment on the Baumholder Maneuver Training Area "H" during the U.S. Army Europe Expert Field Medical Badge Competition serves as the vehicle where candidates will load their litters onto. The 195 candidates from U.S. forces in Europe, including 24 participants from seven NATO allies, are competing in the five-day challenge, at Lager Aulenbach, Germany, March 11-24, 2016. The test is a rigorous evaluation of mental and physical skills in soldier and medical tasks requiring a high degree of ability and focus. Passing rates range from 5-25 percent, making the Expert Field Medical Badge a distinctive mark in a Soldier's records. The 421st Medical Battalion (Multifunctional), 30th Medical Brigade, provides Mission Command for the USAREUR EFMB testing Spring FY 2016.
