U.S. Army Capt. Adria Horn, temporarily deployed with the Joint Special Operations Task Force, Philippines, embraces a Filipino World War II veteran in Jolo City, Philippines, April 14, 2009. In an effort to reach out to World War II veterans who could potentially qualify for the recent U.S. congressional approval for Filipino World War II ceterans compensation, JSOTF-P personnel have assisted in submitting claims on behalf of the veterans to the U.S. Embassy in Mania. The JSOTF-P is helping the Armed Forces of the Philippines foster peace and security in the southern Philippines at the request of the Philippine government.
