Marines from Combat Logistics Battalion 22, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, load a medium tactical vehicle replacement, or seven-ton truck, aboard an Army Landing Craft Utility in an effort to backload equipment to USNS Williams, a Maritime Preposition Force ship, Feb. 22, 2010. The ship delivered the gear to Marines in Haiti in an effort to provide aid in the wake of the devastating earthquake that rattled the country's infrastructure. Although the 22nd MEU brought their gear aboard USS Bataan, the MPF ship offered additional assets to the 22nd MEU to include, generators, pumps, water trucks and Humvees. Maj. Sean Smith, logistics officer for the 22nd MEU, said the MPF gear was a big asset in assisting the 22nd MEU to provide aide to the people of Haiti.
