Spc. Jackie L. Johnson III, a gun truck driver with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 198th Combined Arms, 155th Brigade Combat Team, out of Hernando, Miss., carries a stuffed toy reptile on the dash of his truck during every mission, which he says is a gecko, a visual joke referencing the famous advertising mascot of the Government Employees Insurance Company. "It's my proof of auto insurance," said the Hernando, Miss., native. "Driving in Iraq can be dangerous, and I don't want to be caught without proof of insurance."
