Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti held a Smithsonian Show & Tell at 11
Degrees North, Feb. 24. Over 500 people attended the event, which included US Embassy personnel and their families. The Smithsonian collected 372 bird specimens, 113 mammals, 269 reptiles, 14 plant specimens, and over 1,600 insect specimens over the past three weeks. These specimens will go back to Washington, D.C. and be housed in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum for researchers all around the world to use in various research projects.
