After completing a post-flight inspection of a Shadow unmanned aerial vehicle, Richard Klitz from Fort Lewis, Wash., a UAV maintainer with 2nd Battalion, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, U.S. Division - Center, puts the nose cover back onto the aircraft, March 7. The maintainers remain keen on aircraft inspections, allowing the launch site to reach 20,000 flight hours in the last 10 months.
