The Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst community closed out a month of celebrating African-American culture and contributions to the nation by gathering at Club Dix for the Black History Month Luncheon, March 4. The special speaker at the event was Army Support Activity-Dix's own sergeant major for mobilization, Sgt. Maj. Anthony Young. The Philadelphia native spoke to the audience about Black Economic Empowerment and the role of African-Americans in the economic development of the country.
