An F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the "Sidewinders" of Strike Fighter Squadron 86 launches from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. Nimitz and embarked Carrier Air Wing 11 are currently in transit back to the United States after an eight month deployment to the Arabian Sea in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and to the Western-Pacific Region promoting peace and regional cooperation and stability.
