According to 1st Sgt. Travis Jernigan from Clayton, Ala., his company's motto is "You Call; We Haul." Jernigan and his fellow truckers are ready to hit the road as long haul specialists with the 2101st Transportation Company. Their mission will take them over the highways of Iraq as equipment movers; a far distance from the unit's home town of Demopolis, Ala. One hundred sixty-eight Soldiers with the Alabama Army National Guard assembled in Griffith Field House March 8, to receive a Yellow Banner, signifying mobilization training is complete and they are ready to move out. Accepting the Yellow Banner is the 2101st company commander, Capt. Kelvin Perkins from Phoenix city, Ala., and Jernigan.
