Sailors aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Nassau listen to Capt. John Bruening, commanding officer of Amphibious Squadron 8, during the presentation of the ship's Battle Efficiency award. Nassau earned its third consecutive Battle "E" award in 2009. Nassau is the command platform for the Nassau Amphibious Ready Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
