160615-N-BB534-190 DILI, Timor Leste (June 15, 2016) Service members deployed in support of Pacific Partnership 2016 and members of the Timor Leste army participate in a push up challenge before starting a hands on basic life saving demonstration at a subject matter expert exchange. During the exchange participants practiced injury triage, infection prevention and patient transportation. This year marks the sixth time the mission has visited Timor Leste since its first visit in 2006. Medical, engineering and various other personnel embarked aboard USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) are working side-by-side with partner nation counterparts, exchanging ideas, building best practices and relationships to ensure preparedness should disaster strike.
