Staff Sgt. Melvin Segarra, a civil affairs specialist with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command, reads the story of U.S. Army Pfc. Nicholas A. Madaras and the organization that bears his name to a group of local children and Rigo Avila, the local community recreational sports coordinator, in Puerto Lempira, Honduras, during a recreational day July 16, 2016. Marines from SPMAGTF-SC handed out soccer balls to children in support of the Kick for Nick Foundation, which collects soccer balls and delivers them into the hands of less fortunate children around the world. The foundation was created in memory of U.S. Army Pfc. Nicholas A. Madaras of Wilton, Connecticut, who was killed while serving in Iraq, Sept. 3, 2006, and has handed out over 40 million soccer balls. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Adwin Esters/Released)
