Artisan Jazmine Sauceda, a Barstow resident, applies paint to vehicle components in a sealed paint chamber. The volatile organic compounds in the paint are then captured by a pollution control system which runs the gases through a burner that removes 95 to 97 percent of the pollutants from the air.
