Public affairs soldiers help off load several media members from Kabul from a CH-47 Chinook, May 12, at Forward Operating Base Thunder in eastern Afghanistan's Paktya province. The media visited FOB Thunder for the first Media Day held by the Afghan national army's 203rd Thunder Corps Public Affairs Office. The media came out to release news stories of the progress of the mentoring team teaching the Afghan soldier's military skills. The American soldiers are assigned to the 304th Public Affairs detachment Fort Lewis, Wash.
